Big Girl Swing

My little Hannah isn't so little any more. Today she got on the big kid swing all by herself and then informed me that she can't go in the baby one any more. While she was swinging I told her to pump her legs in and out to keep going. And she said, " good thing I exercise so I can be strong. I just have to practice."

Christus Statue

This past summer I had to go out to the distribution center at the Denver Temple. Hannah and Paula (grammie) came with me. While I was making my purchase Hannah and Grannie waited in the visitors center. There is a Christus Statue there. So Hannah and Grammie were reading a Friend magazine and talking about what they saw, when Hannah stopped everything and looked up at the statue of Jesus. She stood there for a good two minutes then said, "Hmm, grammie, Jesus has nipples." All grammie could say was, "yes he does honey"
What an observant little girl. I am sure this comment made all of Heaven laugh out loud.

Ladder

So we watch biggest loser as a family and tonight one of the contestants fell off of a ladder. Hannah looked at daddy and said, " you use a ladder and don't fall off your ladder, only biggest losers fall off their ladder!" She is so funny!

GIRLIES

Hannah and Gabbie are so much fun! Gabbie is growing day by day. She is holding her head up so well and I was able to get a great picture of the girlies today. Gabbie was holding her head up. It makes me so happy!

Dandelions

Seth told Hannah that she could pick all of the dandelion flowers out of our yard. This has made Hannah a very happy little girl. So today was a really warm day so Hannah was out in the yard. She came running in the house with a huge bouquet of flowers not to mention yellow all over he face from smelling them:) She said, " these are all for our family, they are so lovely!" She is so so cute!

1 Month

Our little sweet Gabbie Goo is 1 month old today! I can't believe how fast this past month has gone. It is flying by compared to the last month of pregnancy. Probably because I enjoy her little sweetness being in our family. She is such a wonderful little girl.
We had her one month check up today with Doctor Nelson and Nurse Brenda. She is still battling a bit of reflux and man is she gassy:) Sometimes when she lets the gas rip we look at each other and laugh because it is too big to be coming out of that little cute body! So at the check up she measured in length 22 1/2 inch which is 3 inches of growth in 1 month she is also now weighing 9lbs 8oz which is a increase of almost 2 lbs in 2 weeks. That is some serious weight gain:) We are so happy. Our little Gabbie is doing great. As you can see from the pictures she is getting a cute double chin and that crazy baby acne that always comes about the time you want to take pictures in a blessing dress.
We sure love this little girl and thank Heavenly Father every day for sending her special spirit to be in our family!

Happy Birthday Daddy

We are so Grateful for Daddy! He is so special. So Happy big 31. Hannah and Gabbie picked out new work out shorts and then we had "Nothing Bunt Cake" oh happy day! If you haven't tried them we highly recommend you do. They are wonderful. I was also pleasantly surprised this year because they opened a store in Lone Tree which is about 45 min away. It is so much cheaper to go to the store that have a cake shipped. The things we do for those we love:)
Love you Sweetheart!

Puzzle

Hannah is awesome at putting puzzles together. We bought one the other day because it had Sleeping Beauty on it of course. Then today she put a puzzle together with her grammie so we went to Target and bought a few more. Hannah put these two together without any help. I told her to match up her colors and it would all work out! She came running into my room so happy that she had done it all by herself! What a proud momma I am.

Smile

What a Happy baby! Love you Sweet Gabbie Goo

"Let's Go Fly A Kite"

"Let's Go Fly A Kite And Send It Soaring"
Today after Seth got home for work we took Hannah and Gabbie to the park to fly a kite for the first time. I learned something new about Seth. He told me that he had never actually flown a kite. He said that he was doubtful that I would be able to get the kite to fly. When I asked him to hold the kite up and pull it back before letting it go he was clueless. It was so funny. I was able to coach him through the process and Ta Da! The kite was in the air. Hannah had so so much fun she was able to keep the kite up for a really long time. She is a quick learner and she also took the time to show her daddy how to fly the kite as well. It was sweet watching her be the teacher.
This is

Scriptures

We always have family scriptures each night before bed. The past few night hannah has said some cute things I wanted to remember.

Seth bore his testimony of the scriptures and asked Hannah, "do you love the scriptures?" Hannah, "I love fruit snacks!"
Random:)

Then last night
Hannah, "The scriptures teach us to love Heamily (Heavenly) Father!"
This made us so happy!
Hannah is truly a special and choice Daughter of our Heavenly Father and we feel so blessed to have her in our family!

Bears

Every time Paula/Grammie comes over to visit and snuggle baby Gabbie she has been bringing Hannah a little "Big Sister gift" as she calls it. They are little things that make Hannah smile and feel special. So today Grammie brought Hannah a fun new notepad and some cute little bird stickers. Hannah was so excited. She immediately began to draw. After about a half hour she came into my room and told me that I had to see what she made. She said that they are pictures of bears with birds resting on their heads. And then she asked me to take her picture. Which I am glad that I did because a short while later I found her ripping all of the pictures up and throwing them away. Silly kiddo.

Fingernail clippings

Whenever Hannah needs her fingernails clipped she insists that her dad does it because he is more gentle than I am. Whatever:) So the other night while Seth was clipping away Hannah said, " We do not eat our fingernails. We just only eat pizza." What a funny girl

Zoo

We had some friends come into town from Utah, (John and Julie Feltwell) so we decided to take a trip to the Zoo. This was Gabbies first time there. I am happy to report that she slept the entire time. Hannah loved it all of course. Hannah loves Bird World. and to think for the first 2 years of trips to the Zoo I would avoid that exhibit because I thought that it would be boring. Wow, was I wrong it has turned out to be a favorite.

Happy Easter Morning

Hannah was so cute as she stood at the top of the stairs trying to figure out what the Easter Bunny brought her. She then made me put the camera away until she got downstairs. Luckily I was allowed to get it back out as she hunted for candy filled eggs.

Hannah asked the Easter Bunny for all Princess Tiana (The Princess and the Frog" stuff. So I should tell a little story about Hannah and Princess Tiana.
Right when "The Princess and the Frog" came out in Theaters Hannah and I went to the Disney store. She asked for a new doll so I brought down Princess Tiana. I asked Hannah if she wanted her. I said, "Hannah, she is really pretty." Hannah looked closely at her. news flash--she is a black doll. No biggie! but for a little 2year old very different looking than all of the other princesses. Hannah then said, "mom, she has a really pretty dress, but she is not pretty!" Needless to say we did not buy the doll. Later in the week I took Hannah to the theater to see the movie and she now loves Princess Tiana. It is all about education:)

Sister Smooches

A little over a week ago we were having dinner at Seth's parents house and then we were all just relaxing in the living room. After I changed Gabbies diaper Hannah lay down on the floor by her sister and was having a little conversation. I went and got the camera because she was giving her lots of smooches. It was so cute to see these cute little girlies just loving each other. Even though Gabbie is only just 2 weeks old here she was very alert and watching Hannah's every move. These two little sweethearts sure love each other. Makes a mommas heart happy!
This one is my favorite!

Hello World

I went to change Gabbie's diaper this evening and her little cord fell off! Oh happy day. Hannah said, "oh, look she has a cute button!" I couldn't agree more! Look at that cute little belly button!

Coloring Eggs

We colored Easter eggs tonight. It was so much fun. Hannah loves this! She especially loves to dip a Q-tip in the dye and paint the eggs. It was nice that my good fried Michelle (Moochelle) got to color eggs with us! Hannah Loves her and it is so nice to have her living close by again. As you can see Baby Gabbie slept through the entire thing. Hannah put one of Seth's whit T-shirts on then danced around saying it was her dress:)

Ode to baby Evan

Baby Evan
Baby Gabbie

My brothers little boy Evan is such a little cutie! He was born in December 2009. He is always doing these cute little things. One of which is sleeping all relaxed with his little hands behind his head. I thought it was so fun. Then we put our little Gabbie down for a nap and a short while later went to check on her and wouldn't you know she had her little hands behind her head. Too cute. I always knew they were best friends in Heaven.
